As a man with a penchant for bow ties (and not Bo ties), then (and now) Ohio State president E. Gordon Gee referred to the result of this installment of the game by stating
“This tie one of our greatest wins ever.” Amazingly, history will bear out that this will not be the least considerate thing President Gee has ever said about Ohio State football, (more remarkably, it’s not even close.)
It was Michigan’s third tie of the year, and their victory over Washington in the Rose Bowl would help them complete an undefeated, but oddly unsatisfying 9-0-3 year.
