Mustelid: I believe each coach signed a deal with the supplier back then. The first school-wide Nike deal wasn’t until about 1994 or ’95.
Arthur B: My freshman year, 1981, many of the linemen were wearing Spot Bilt’s. They were a very heavy sturdy shoe.
