Passing the Old Man | U-M 26, OSU 24 (11/22/1986)

With the victory over Ohio State, Bo passes Fielding Yost as Michigan’s all-time leader in wins, earning his 166th victory as the boss of the Maize and Blue.

By going 19 for 29 for 261 yards, quarterback Jim Harbaugh makes good on his guarantee from Monday (“I guarantee we will beat Ohio State and go to Pasadena.”), earning Michigan a share of the Big Ten championship and a trip to the Rose Bowl. Harbaugh was backed up by 210 yards rushing by Jamie Morris, 150 of them in the second half.
