Uniform Timeline

The latest mini-project:  A descending timeline of changes to the Michigan football team uniforms over the years.   I’m still pulling it together but you can check out what I have so far here.  This will also be a regular ‘page’ that you can access from the toolbar above.

A huge thanks to Dr. Sap (Steve Sapardanis) for much of the detail especially during the Bo years.

As always, ping me with any inputs

  1. Tremendous topic for research. Naturally, anyone who knows me knows that I think we should permanently use the uniform in “More…Michigan in the Funny Papers (1950, 1956)” as the official Michigan uniform. Traditional dark blue helmet with maize wings, dark blue jersey with maize numerals, maize pants, blue long socks and white short socks, and solid black shoes. That’s a timeless, classic uniform that tells the world that UM is the best, period, amen.
