Thanks for checking out MVictors.com. This site is a University of Michigan sports blog with a focus on football. I started writing and posting about Michigan football on another site in 2001 and launched the Michigan football content on MVictors during the 2006 season. This site is not affiliated in any way with the University of Michigan or any club or group associated with the school.
Greg Dooley runs the site and is a Michigan graduate, football and hockey season ticket holder, Victors Club member, and a lifetime Alumni Club member.
MVictors explores Michigan athletics history and the culture surrounding the games, fans, players, coaches of U-M athletics. Rest assured won’t be breaking down game film unless it involves Tom Harmon.
MVictors Elsewhere: I appear occasionally and WTKA 1050AM and regularly on the football pregame show in the This Week in Michigan Football History segment. I also write a monthly history story for GoBlueWolverine Magazine, and I’ve had pieces in the last five editions of Brian Cook’s preseason guide Hail to the Victors. Finally, I’ve appeared in the Big Ten Network’s Icons series (Tom Harmon and Bo Schembechler editions) and done freelance work for the Detroit News, the Ann Arbor Observer, and the Saline Reporter. I currently appear 2012 in Stunt3 Multimedia’s wonderful documentary on the Willis Ward/Gerald Ford/Georgia Tech incident in 1934, Black and Blue. (Complete rundown of outside work here.)
Want to Support MVictors?: That’s easy, email me with feedback, comment on posts, submit guest columns, visit my sponsors and most importantly, support a charity that I highlight.
Ads, Revenue, etc: It’s a hobby, that’s it. I do use MVictors.com as a frequent sponsor to a few charitable events, primarily for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The advertisers on this site cover hosting expenses and help supplement the charitable sponsorships.
Photos: If you’d like to use an original photo on this site, please link to the page where you got it. If I post a photo I took, it’s fair game to reuse it—I just appreciate the link back/hat tip to my site.
