• Crashing Down

    In our long history, three Michigan-Wisconsin games featured major incidents in the stands where hundreds, in one case thousands, of fans were crushed during or just after the game.  Three times!  This is not completely random of course as many of the Michigan-Wisconsin games in history were pretty big events with fans packed in to watch..but still.   Here's a rundown of each incident.

  • For the Love of Beer

    A fun story of how Neil Snow, one of Michigan's all-time greatest athletes, got entangled with a Detroit Beer company over an ad in a game program. But this was a different time, and the BMOC had an easy solution to the problem.

  • Vintage Rose Bowl Cheer (1902)

    Here’s a pic currently for sale from the turn of the last century at the inaugural Rose Bowl and more specifically, from the actual “Floral” Parade prior to the game.  Funny, it looks like Willie Heston and crew are decked in their game uniforms and presumably taking the wagon directly from the parade route to the game!:
