Hats off to WTKA and Jeff DeFran for scoring this uninterrupted 30 minute+ interview with Coach Carr just a couple days after word came down that he will be enshrined in the college football Hall of Fame.
It yielded one classic moment but I’m not sure Jeff got the joke. DeFran asked Carr about watching football now that he’s out of coaching, and Carr reminded him that he indeed attended the Iowa game a couple years ago:
DeFran didn’t laugh. I did.
How soon we forget those few days when Lloyd Carr’s appearance at the Iowa game (apparently as a guest of Iowa assistant Soup Campbell) set the Michigan fanbase ablaze?
