This Week in Michigan Football History is back, returning for its third season as part of the WTKA 1050AM KeyBank Countdown to Kick-off pregame show.  You’ll hear it live in Dallas or on WTKA Saturday before the game.

This week, we step back to 1995 and the opener of the college football season dubbed as ‘The Pigskin Classic’.  Virginia was in town and Michigan had two big changes on the sideline.  Gary Moeller was dismissed just a few months before, and Lloyd Carr was asked to take the helm.  In addition, a brand new assistant named Brady Hoke was hired by Moeller earlier in the year and was retained by Carr.

This one was ugly for about 80% of that brutally hot day but things got better darn quick.  Here’s a sneak peek on the audio for MVictors readers, I hope you like it:
