Inspiring ‘The Victors’ (1898) – This Week in Michigan Football History
While rarely discussed these days, the Chicago game in 1898 is without a doubt one of the most memorable match-ups in Wolverine lore. It also had the most far-reaching impact as it was this win that inspired 'The Victors'. Today our undisputed rival is clearly the Buckeyes. But back in 1898 it was was AA Stagg and his Chicago Maroons.

No More Indiana Nice – Sight & Sounds (Michigan 31, Indiana 20)
They had to earn it. The Hoosiers exposed a few issues on defense and frankly that’s ok by me. It’s good that it happened at home and especially in a game that we eventually controlled. It might give the Buckeyes a few ideas but my money is on this staff & its ability to fix the kinks in the armor this week. Re: the postgame chatter about dirty play? Get over it.
