"Close Enough" - Memories of Rob Lytle — MVictors.com

I shot out a tweet yesterday acknowledging the birthday of the great, late Michigan back Rob Lytle. A few folks shared memories of Lytle, including this absolute beauty from all-conference flanker John Kolesar and it is priceless:

Some folks may remember I came to Michigan as a running back before moving to Flanker.
Bo says he’s giving me #40 because I reminded him of Lytle.

And one more, this memory from All-American back Jamie Morris:

I remember we played Wisconsin my freshman year and I carried the ball 19 or 20 times well this was my first start. The next day I was in the training room ice bags all over my body!! Bo walked by the training room saw me walked in and said Rob Lytle wouldn’t have ice bags on ?????

And finally, I loved this wonderful memory from his son Kelly Lytle:

He loved coca-cola in the morning. And McDonalds breakfast on Sundays. Watched MASH with his Dad and used to yell "missed the damn cut" at the TV whenever we watched Saturday football together. His grin was of the sh*t eating variety. And he was a great Dad. Thanks for posting!
