The Rundown:
Steve and Greg jump right in talking about the real gameday game-changer—beer in Michigan stadium. The full Rundown:
- The boys discuss the past and present of booze at college football games, including a little insight into which school pushed for the proposed alcohol law in the state of Michigan. Will U-M have beer in the stadium anytime soon?
- NIL gone wild! We discuss the trend of individual state governments going rogue and passing laws that are in conflict with the NCAA guidelines. We take a look at what’s going on at Texas and Texas A&M and where the lines are. Also, a little insight into how Michigan (M Power) is responding.
- An AI bot determined the most notable alumnus from each Big Ten School, we discuss a few examples including Gerald Ford, and for Iowa, Ashton Kutcher vs. Nile Kinnick, and this gets into a chat about the 1939 Heisman.
- Steve brings up a few college football season preview magazines, where Michigan ranks (it’s good!), and Dooley asks: is anyone negative on Michigan? Anyone? Bueller? Yikes that is a little scary.
P.S. Here’s that print from the 2022 Penn State game, signed by Woodson, Hutchinson (see HOFs) and Griese:
