Outstanding. The guys at Orange County Choppers, made famous by the reality show American Chopper, built an epic custom ride to be auctioned to benefit Mott’s Children’s Hospital. What a beauty.
Apparently the youngest member of the core Chopper crew (Mikey) is a big Wolverine fan and after a few calls they worked it out.
Here’s more info on how you can get this baby[auction will be February 7-12] and here’s all the photos. Apparently they’ve got a show dedicated to designing and building the “Big Blue Bike” and it’s airing soon. The Ann Arbor News ran a story on this today as well, check it out here. Check your local listings. Awesome stuff.
For bike dudes, here’s the key features:
* Revtec 100″ engine
* Baker 6-speed transmission
* Custom OCC/Michigan wheels; chrome with epoxy inlay
* Custom OCC/Michigan air cleaner cover and primary cover
* OCC Down Sweep Exhaust with custom Michigan exhaust covers”
Not mentioned but additions I’d suggest:
* Ape Hangers (Apes)
* Bitch bar
* Winged Brain Bucket
Ehh, sounds just about right. But is it really loud when you fire it up? Would have been nice to ride that thing out of East Lansing yesterday (at half-time). Or maybe Rich Rod could pony up for this and pass it along as a gift to Terrelle Pryor? That might be the antidote for the dirty pool being played by the Buckeyes:
