Steve and Greg return in the last non-Michigan football week of the summer and we discuss the Mood, national title candidates, the Champions Circle endorsement, and the Pac-12’s nutty professor who screwed them over.
The rundown:
- 95? Dooley explains the preseason “Mood” which has been tracked on MVictors.com since 2013. It’s obviously very high, but why isn’t it higher? The boys discuss the recent history that invokes a bit of Soundgarden, fans loving M gear, and a quick spin around the country of the likely candidates for the national title.
- Endorse Me. The lads chat about the U-M Athletic Department’s endorsement of Champions Circle as the collective of choice for Michigan, and what it means in reality (it’s about the partnership with Learfield), and what is still holding fans back from supporting NIL, despite the undefeated reputation of the Michigan Money Cannon. And we can’t quit the topic of beer in the stadium.
- The Pac-12’s Nutty Professor. Wow, apparently the Pac-12 presidents hung their hats on an academic assessment of their value to the TV networks(!)(?). Amazing. We discuss it and break it down, and how the B1G probably went about this. We continue to pick through the rubble of the Pac 12, and the impact on the B1G.
