Episode 8! A colossal beatdown of the Cornhuskers put the lads, and the entire M fanbase, in a good mood. We break down the game, the weekend that was, peek ahead at the Gophers and Dooley’s beloved Little Brown Jug:

A rundown of this episode:

  • The Beating Was Complete – Team 144 looked the part of #2 in the country – finally. Where does Roman Wilson’s remarkable TD catch stack up in the history of Michigan’s most amazing plays? Is Blake Corum back to 2022 form? Dooley admits he was nervous before this one but…there was nothing to fear. Was this win more impressive than the Detroit Lions (Thursday night) win over the Packers?
  • The Fall Wedding – The Prof. was trapped at a wedding Saturday afternoon and suffered through a confused waitstaff trying to put the game on the bar TV. We channel Nick Hornby’s Fever Pitch to describe his handicap. And a nitpick on the game: Not sure Corum or JJ have ever actually consumed a cob of corn. We also discuss our love of BTN’s The Final Drive, and the art of how they soft-pedal the horrific reality for some teams.
  • Moral Turpitude – We take another look at the fallout at MSU, and how player rights and freedoms (like the transfer portal) could devastate a roster and result in many players never find another school. We also examine the news that SD4L suspended some NIL commitments.
  • The Gophers – It’s Jug week and Dooley is on it. And yes, we are out of room for scores on the Little Brown Jug (in the allocated spaces). We go in on P.J. Fleck a bit, then Steve previews the game and breaks down Minnesota. Punt Block parlay, anyone?
