I’ve seen so many cool things over the past few years covering this team and its great history. This is right up there.
Here’s local artist Jil Gordon making things official on the Minnesota game:
Gordon started this wonderful assignment in 1974. Much more on this later but I had to get a few photos up there.

Wow that is a really cool look that many people dont get to see! Thanks a lot Greg!

I assume you asked Ms. Gordon if she was practicing a smaller font size since in two years she’ll have to totally redo the entire score sheet.

Is that Falk in the background digging through his desk for a snickers bar?

That is just unbelievably cool! Thanks for sharing!

Does the Jug ever get “touched-up”? You can see a few big chips of paint have flaked off the Minnesota M, and I know the paint on the handle is pretty worn down and flaked off as well.

The 2011 year and scores sure look a lot “skinnier” than the 2001, 02, 03 and 04 scores….also, Glen Mason was on The BTN Saturday talking about when in 2005 he took the Jug into a Pub up in Minnie, everyone was having their picture taken with it, he turned his back for 1 second and when he turned around some dude had a Martini in one hand and the Little Brown Jug up in the air with the other….and he thought 102 years of History was gonna be shattered all over the floor. It’s like Lord Stanley’s Cup, many many great stories about the Jug.

Awesome!

Looking again at that image, is it possible that an entirely new column of scores could be added in between those two existing ones?
Kool Breeze
Dude, your diaper had to be moist watching that!

Hey, it’s come up a few times–more later

@jmblue
you could, it would just need to be tighter than the existing columns

re: “The 2011 year and scores sure look a lot “skinnier” than the 2001, 02, 03 and 04 scores” – correct, and note that this was the first coat. She went back over the numbers again a few minutes later.

And ESPN said Michigan doesn’t care about The Little Brown Jug. What a travesty.
