The boys hit the studio, a tad hungover, still in stunned appreciation for Michigan's unlikely victory over the Buckeyes in Columbus. What does it mean for Michigan? For Ohio State? For Ryan Day's future? We cover it all including the postgame kerfuffle. We take a quick spin around the B1G, and answer Nick Hopwood's question about the biggest win in recent Michigan -Ohio State history. Muy Beuno! Quatro Anos!

Pesky Gophers and Greasy Pigskins | Ep. #52 Professor and the Pundit
This week, we dive into Michigan's nail-biting victory over Minnesota—yes, the jug is back in Schembechler Hall! But despite the win, questions linger. Kind of like the Gophers did on Saturday. We explore Alex Orji’s progress as a quarterback and celebrate Mullings' impressive transition to RB1. We examine the defense’s mixed performance and the questionable calls that took this one down to the wire. The Pundit gets you ready for the first road trip of the year to Seattle in the national title (you do remember that, right?) against our new B1G brothers - the Washington Huskies. After a few sights & sounds from a wild day, we take a trip through the B1G and the nation.

What Would You Do? Here’s What Bo Would Do (1932)
Check this out from the 1932 Youngstown Vindicator newspaper. It’s a feature called ‘Football for the Fan’ by coach Howard H. Jones. Coach Jones was a legendary coach at USC with many other stints including Ohio State in 1910 (3-3 tie in Columbus vs. Yost if you need it—the Buckeye fans went wild.) In the FFTF feature, Jones lays out an in-game scenario and asks readers, ‘What Would You Do?’: It appears as Jones had different coaches suggest a play to “answer” the question, and this one was addressed by then-Kansas State coach Bo McMillin. And don’t knock McMillin—after leaving Kansas he went onto Indiana where he bested Crisler in Ann Arbor & led the Hoosiers to the 1945 conference title! A football title in Bloomington is a one way ticket to the college football HOF, yes sir. After that McMillin went on to coach the Lions and the Eagles before dying prematurely of stomach cancer. Update: Here’s McMillin’s answer:

What A Woman! Rose Bowl Queen (1938)
Here is another great wire photo, this time from the late 1930s featuring my dream girl. It’s the Tournament of Roses Queen Barbara Dougall posing with her crown holding a team photo of none other than Fielding Yost’s first and perhaps finest team, the 1901 squad that started the Point-A-Minute reign of terror at the turn of the 20th Century.
