Tremendous topic for research. Naturally, anyone who knows me knows that I think we should permanently use the uniform in “More…Michigan in the Funny Papers (1950, 1956)” as the official Michigan uniform. Traditional dark blue helmet with maize wings, dark blue jersey with maize numerals, maize pants, blue long socks and white short socks, and solid black shoes. That’s a timeless, classic uniform that tells the world that UM is the best, period, amen.
